Herndon-Monroe Park & Ride Bus Bays "F" & "G" to Close Temporarily Beginning July 5

On or about Tuesday, July 5, Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project crews will close Bus Bays "F" and "G" at the Herndon-Monroe Park and Ride to allow utility work for the future Herndon Metrorail Station to continue. The bus routes currently served by F & G will be relocated to other Bus Bays and to a new bus stop designated "T." Signage will be in place to direct commuters to their new Bus Bay locations. Metro SafeTrack

Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Sharon Bulova addressed the upcoming Metro SafeTrack plan and how Fairfax County is coordinating with Metro to mitigate the reduced level of Metrorail service expected until critical maintenance is completed. In a letter to Fairfax County employers dated May 24, 2016, Ms. Bulova outlined alternatives for consideration to relieve the anticipated inconveniences.

Mt. Vernon Metrorail Station Closing for Two Days

March 30 - April 1, 2016.  Mt Vernon Square Metrorail Station will be temporarily closed for two days during the 2016 Nuclear Summit, beginning Wednesday evening, March 30, and continuing through Friday evening, April 1.

Green and Yellow line trains will continue to operate through Mt Vernon Square without stopping, and all other Metrorail stations are expected to be open during the event.
