Metro SafeTrack

Metro SafeTrack

Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Sharon Bulova addressed the upcoming Metro SafeTrack plan and how Fairfax County is coordinating with Metro to mitigate the reduced level of Metrorail service expected until critical maintenance is completed. In a letter to Fairfax County employers dated May 24, 2016, Ms. Bulova outlined alternatives for consideration to relieve the anticipated inconveniences. In addition to information on Telework, Flexible Work Schedules, Ridesharing and Carsharing, Metro Bus, Fairfax Connector Bus, Biking, and Virginia Railway Express, the letter offered links to a number of regional resources, along with an invitation to contact Fairfax County Department of Transportation's Employer Outreach team at 703-877-5600, TTY 711, for assistance in implementing employee commuter programs.
